Dr. Thompson grew up in Sugar Land, Texas, and earned his Bachelor of Science degree at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi. He went on to receive his DDS from the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston. His love for fishing and surfing brought him and his wife, Haven, to Corpus Christi.
